Clemson’s Memorial Stadium is receiving a huge upgrade thanks to Anthony James Partners (AJP), a firm that has been working with the university to upgrade technology around the stadium and campus.
The scoreboard is five times the size of the old one, and with 6.7 million pixels, it has the highest resolution of any scoreboard in college football. The screen is almost 7,112 square feet of 10mm, high dynamic range (HDR)-capable LED. The project will also upgrade eight other sports fields and facilities across campus.
It’s part of a $20 million technology upgrade to the stadium and a $65 million project to upgrade technology around campus. In addition to the scoreboard, there will be 24 displays and 11 interactive kiosks.
According to AJP, the project will also bring a first-of-its-kind Campus Digital Network that’s a campus-wide comprehensive communications platform. It will provide real-time campus news, information and safety information.
