Anonymous, 08 Aug 2022Yes it's really 1000 nits, MiniLED can surpass that with ease unlike OLED which can only ... more I know I have it, it is brighter than standard lapotps. I use SDR as well becsue it gets up to 500 nits so plenty.. But I would want to make sure and measure it with that device what youtubers measure sreens nits they The manufacturers always overreact.. but you woul dhave to have that portrait C6 device to measure the nits.. very expensive. NO it is not any short term.. just enable HDR and you will get slightly above 1000 nits reported by windows.. when u turn HDR off it will be standard SDR so up to 500 nits. https://store.portrait.com/meters/portrait-displays-c6-hdr2000-with-add-ons-531.html

I think I'm done with traditional laptops. My preferred form factor is now detachables (convertibles for which the KB can be detached to make use of the tab only). So, currently my option is Microsoft, Dell, hp or Lenovo (or even Samsung or ASUS if they come up with a decent one).

Minu, 08 Aug 2022Don't forget that LG makes great laptops too! And the yet unreleased Nokia purebook lapto... more I decided not to buy Samsung this time not because they seemed to be unreliable as they were NOT. And, they're the only manufacturer in the Android domain that offers 5 yrs of security updates (other than Google itself for their Pixels).
